What's it about?
The Partners Adventure Retreat is a weekend long cooperative workshop intended to help couples explore, challenge, and encourage themselves to take the risk of discussing their relationship with each other and with others who are also in committed relationships.
Who we are
For 30 years the Adventure Centre has been committed to helping people connect with themselves, in their relationships and with the community around them. The environment created at The Adventure Centre empowers individuals and groups to take the risks that can lead to healthier relationships through awareness, reflection and dialog.
What will you do?
Laugh • Engage • Reflect
Share • Experience • Dialogue
Couples will participate in activities traditionally used for team building and adventure learning. These activities engage you and your partner in a common experience. You then have the opportunity to reflect on what works for you, what doesn't work, areas of strength, and in what areas you might seek support. Together you will create a safe space where you can gather to share the common goal of strengthening your relationships to their fullest potential. Through a facilitated process, you and your partner will discover your own answers, strengthen your relationship, maybe even begin a process of reflection and awareness that strengthens any relationship, and have some fun on the journey!

Meals will be provided through local resources. Connecting with businesses allows us to support the delightful local tastes that Kalamazoo Area has to offer, spreading awareness of where to find them.
We ask that all couples attending complete a pre-questionnaire and may be asked a few follow up questions via telephone.
We will hold an evening meeting one week prior to your workshop to go over details and introductions.
The questionnaire and pre-meeting allow us to customize the experience for those attending.
