This is not a training it is testing including a practicum to demonstrate skills, and a written test to assess understanding.
Levels of Challenge Course Practitioner Certification Testing:
The Adventure Centre, through Experiential Systems will be offering the potential for all three levels of challenge course practitioner certification on April 10th, 2010.
These levels are based on the current certification levels outlined within the Association for Challenge Course Technology ( ACCT) Practitioner Certification Standards.

Level 1 Challenge Course Practitioner Certification
Level 1 certification is intended for entry level challenge course practitioners who have no previous challenge course experience. The Level 1 facilitator must have a thorough understanding of initiatives, low and high ropes course elements, climbing structures, stand alone ropes course elements and a variety of belay systems.
Level 2 Challenge Course Practitioner Certification
Level 2 certification is intended for individuals who have been in the challenge course/ ropes course field for some time and can meet the core technical and facilitation skills required for operation of most high and low ropes course elements. A Level 2 practitioner must demonstrate mastery of all Level 1 competencies.
Individuals wanting to test into Level 2 must have documentation of at least 400 hours of experience delivering programs on a challenge course.
Challenge Course Manager (CCM) Certification
Challenge Course Manager Certification is intended for individuals who have been in the challenge course field for some time and can meet the core technical and facilitation skills required for operation of most high and low ropes course elements. Those testing for CCM certification must demonstrate the ability to supervise others, develop site specific operation procedures, conduct in-services and implement the operations management of a facility. Individuals looking to test in at CCM level must have a documentation of at least 600 hours of experience delivering programs on a challenge course.
